Coach Conklin is a mediocre coach at best. I do not mean this in a completely negative way, it is fully honest. He is very knowledgeable about throwing and very good at it, but he has no business teaching nor coaching others. His practice plans aren’t great, his lifts are terrible, and he doesn’t motivate his team very well nor communicate with them. I have never felt motivated or ready or excited for a meet with him as a coach. He does the bare minimum and calls it job well done. If you think of throwing as more of a hobby and want a more laid back coach who doesn’t care much about grades, missing practices, being late, etc, he is a great coach for you. But if you see throwing as something you want to be amazing at, I’d consider going elsewhere. With coach jared, you’ll be alright. With another, better coach, you’ll be great.
