This is a man who has coached for 20 years and hasn’t won a championship in 16 years. I played here for 4 years and although the campus is absolutely amazing, I wish I had never been recruited. Darle does not develop players. He used the same drills my entire time there and I don’t remember actually getting coached. It’s on you to get better and motivate yourself because you get no support from him. If you aren’t playing and ask why, he will not be able to tell you. He consistently makes mistakes in games despite “coaching” for 20 years. He doesn’t respect academic commitments and you will see a decrease in playing time if you miss practice because of class. If players are talking sh*t on their teammates in front of him he will do NOTHING to stop it. Outside of softball, he’s a great guy. Will stand up for you. But as a coach it’s his time to retire.
