Doesn't believe in pregame hype speeches. Difficulty accessing him if you're not a star player of team. Very knowledgeable about game, almost to a fault when designing schemes. Doesn't beat around bush when addressing issues, but doesn't throw people under the bus either. Huge Star Wars, combat sports and military fan.

Very intelligent football mind with a passion to make us the best we can possibly be. Has a good personality and humor but can also be hard to talk to about some things and gets angry very easily.

I played under coach ross for 5 years. Although we had our differences at points and i disagreed with how he handled things sometimes, i have never seen someone persevere and continue to fight keeping his chin up quite like this man. I wish nothing but the best for him for the rest of his career.

Those that don't like him don't understand the manor of his job and what he does on a daily basis. Great guy who means well just very passionate and does a lot for the team.

At first I did not like his style of coaching, but once you took a step back and realized how hard he works and how much he cares, I gained a lot of respect for him and started to appreciate the things he does for us. Great coach.
