Willie Chandler is in his sixth year as the head coach of the Men's basketball team at Misericordia University. The Cougars have reached the Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC) Freedom Tournament in each of his first three seasons while winning back-to-back conference titles the past two seasons. He has had a winning season in all of his years as a head coach and has had a Conference Player of the Year, eight MAC Freedom All-conference players and three 1,000 point scorers.

As a player, Chandler was a standout–he was a four-time Pennsylvania Athletic Conference Player of the Year and ended his career as the second-leading scorer in NCAA DIII history with 2,898 points.He was also a three-time All-American and led the nation in scoring twice. And it doesn't stop there: Coach Chandler spent five seasons playing professionally in Europe, South America and United States Basketball League. Rounding up his accolades, Coach Chandler holds nine school career records and five single-game records and is a four-time Misericordia/Wendy's Athlete of the Year.
