Kristie Ahn, age 27, is from New Jersey and is a Korean-American tennis player. Ahn had always wanted to go pro, but with a strong push for higher education from her parents, she decided to go to college. She went to Stanford University and graduated in 2014. Stanford did better in her collegiate career than NCAA Quarterfinals every year and won the national championship in 2013. Once she graduated, she has won seven WTA tour titles and is ranked 96th internationally. She recently made headlines when she reached the fourth round of the US Open, where she became the first Asian American woman to make the round of 16 at a grand slam since 2000! Kristie shares her collegiate recruitment experience and how those life skills have translated both on and off the court.
