Outstanding person and coach. Has immense knowledge and understanding of the game. The players at Grambling University appreciated his efforts both on and off the field. As an assistant he provided the program that extra edge that allowed us to reach back to back finals. His attention to detail is next to none. He has an excellent demeanor with the players and coaching staff. His contributions were outstanding to the program.

Coach Sherry was a very knowledgeable coach who taught us all our role on the team and how to play together as a team. We were always the underdog but many times came out on top. I loved my experience.

Our team always struggled against Coach Sherry's teams. Despite not having the advantages most teams had, he always got the best out of his players and his style of soccer was a joy to watch.

Coach Sherry saw something in my daughter that nobody else did. He gave her an opportunity and she is forever grateful for that chance to play the sport she loves.

Hindered ability to grow as a team and player, had to do this independently or with a few other motivated players outside of practice. Not pleasant to be around, constantly distanced himself from players and team activities. Not any positive or constructive criticism given, just all negative, and elitist. Unfortunately had a poor experience despite having a lot of playing time. Other coaching staff were amazing and too bad they also left the program. They inspired and shared the true love of the game while also creating lifelong friendships/mentorships with other players

As an official with over 20 years experience, I can honestly say that Coach Sherry was the most honest, kind and respectful coach i HAVE EVER OFFICIATED. I never heard him say one bad word to his players or to the officials. He never raised his voice and always let his players play.

As a regular fan I can tell you Coach Sherry was the best coach LA Tech has ever had. The transformation of the team has been remarkable. He took over a losing team and turned it into a winning program. Amazing coach!

As a player I really respected the fact that he always respected us, and we always felt our contributions were valued. It was the best choice of my life to be coached by Coach Sherry.

I had 2 years with Coach Sherry and loved everyday. He made us all feel like a million dollars at every practice and game. He created a positive learning environment which developed our academics, athletic skill, and such great personal growth. He brought so much success to the program. After he left we started losing and the new coach is not a patch on Coach Sherry.
