Yale University Men’s Basketball Coach, James Jones, Gives Advice to Athletes

Yale University Men’s Basketball Head Coach, James Jones, is one of the most successful coaches in Ivy League history. Jones was named the Ivy League Coach of the Year in 2015 and 2016. Just some of his amazing accomplishments: 

    • 159 Ivy victories
    • 288 overall wins 
    • .598 winning percentage in league games during his leadership
    • Longest tenured coach in the Ivy league
    • Is the winningest coach in Yale’s history
    • Last four seasons, 42-14 Ivy record
    • Two league titles and reached the championship game of the inaugural Ivy League Tournament in 2017
    • Named the Ivy League Coach of the Year for the second straight season
    • Selected as the NABC District 13 Coach of the Year for the second consecutive year
    • Named as the United States Basketball Writers Association District 1 Coach of the Year
    • 2018, Jones was selected to coach the East Squad at the Reese’s College All-Star Game, which was played on Reese’s Final Four Friday, at the Alamodome in San Antonio.
    • Inducted into New England Basketball Hall of Fame in 2015
      • Named the CollegeSportsMadness.com Ivy League Coach of the Year in 2014
