Chelsea Gamble Hoffmann became the third head coach in Oregon lacrosse history on August 1, 2018. She had a very successful four-year stretch as an assistant coach at Pac-12 rival Stanford.

As the Cardinal’s offensive coordinator from 2015 to 2018, Gamble helped guide Stanford to two conference championships: the inaugural Pac-12 Tournament title in 2018 and three NCAA appearances.

Under Coach Hoffman’s tutelage, Stanford amazing offense ranked among the top 15 in the nation in scoring. She also was at the helm of the team being the nation’s top-scoring offense in 2015 (16.00 goals per game) as 11 Cardinal scored ten or more goals. The team also won an MPSR Conference title and an NCAA Tournament appearance.

Here is what one of her players had to say about her.

Shannon Williams – Oregon Senior Attacker

“After talking with coach Gamble, I am really excited to have her leading our program. She’s experienced within the Pac-12 and knows our conference really well. I think she will be able to connect with players and create a culture of family, competition, and success within Oregon lacrosse.” (https://goducks.com/sports/womens-lacrosse/roster/coaches/chelsea-gamble-hoffmann/3319)
