This season 2020, Jack had his first collegiate action in the University of Georgia Bulldogs' season-opening win at Arkansas. Podlesny connected on both field-goal tries; each was from 38 yards. Five of Jack's six kickoffs resulted in touchbacks against the Razorbacks. He was also named to the J. Reid Parker Director of Athletics Honor Roll for Spring 2019.
Putting in hard work at the high school level is key if you want to play football at the DI level nonetheless play for such a distinguished school such as the University of Georgia. Athletics and academics go hand in hand, and Jack worked hard to be successful at both. He attended Glynn Academy in Georgia, to which he was named First Team All-Region honors his senior year and made 49 of 51 PATs. As a senior, he was named to Principal's Honor Roll, participated in National Honor Society, Spanish National Honor Society and the Beta Club and was a member of the Physics Club.
