The NCAA Division I Men’s Basketball Recruiting Calendar is August 1, 2019, through July 31, 2020

Coaches can only evaluate recruits at NCAA-certified events during the April evaluations. We recommend that you check to see if the event is NCAA certified before you attend.

For the remainder of the evaluation periods they must take place at:

1.     Regularly schedule high school

2.     Prep school

3.     Two-year college tournament

4.     Practice 

5.     Game 

  • August 1 – September 8, 2019: Quiet period
  • September 9 – November 10, 2019: Recruiting/contact period
  • November 11-14, 2019: Dead period
  • November 15 – March 31, 2020: Recruiting/contact period
  • December 24-26, 2019: Dead period
  • April 1, 2020: Quiet period
  • April 2-9, (noon), 2020: Dead period
  • April 9 (noon) – 22, 2020: Recruiting/contact period
  • April 13-16, 2020: Dead period
  • April 23, 2019 – July 5, 2020: Quiet period
  • April 24-26, 2020: Evaluation period – only for certified events
  • April 27-30, 2020: Recruiting period
  • NBA Draft Combine: Evaluation period – for combine only
  • May 21-30, 2020: Dead period
  • TBD for NBPA Top 100 Camp only: Evaluation period
  • June 19 (6 pm) –21 (4 pm), 2020: Evaluation period for scholastic events approved by the NCAA and NFHS and intercollegiate events approved by applicable two-year college governing body only
  • June 26 (6 pm) – 28 (4 pm), 2020: Evaluation period for scholastic events approved by the NCAA and NFHS and intercollegiate events approved by applicable two-year college governing body only
  • *July 6-31, 2020: Dead period*
  • July 9-12, 2020: Evaluation period
  • July 21-26, 2020: Evaluation period – only NCAA College basketball academy

*Important: You may not make an unofficial visit during the month of July! 

Exceptions:

1.     You signed a National Letter of Intent 

2.     Have the institution’s written offer of admission and/or financial aid

3.     The institution has received a financial deposit from the student-athlete in response to an offer of admission
