Jarod Lucas is a junior guard for the Oregon State Men's basketball team. Jarod played basketball at Los Altos High School and became the all-time career leading scorer in Southern California basketball history, with 3,356 points – in addition to holding fifteen other school records. He also played AAU basketball with the Compton Magic, alongside NBA players Evan Mobley (Cavaliers) and Oneyka Okongwu (Hawks).
In his first two seasons with the Beavers, Jarod helped lead the team to a PAC-12 championship and make it to the Elite Eight during March madness. During this 2021 run, he also earned all PAC-12 first team honors. In the 2020-2021 season, Jarod averaged 12.7 points per game, and maintained a 89.6 free throw percentage. He finished the season with the highest free throw percentage in the Pac-12 and the twelfth highest in the nation. Keep an eye out for him this upcoming season.
