George Washington University Campus Tour | Athletic Facilities

Save to my locker

A little insight into the George Washington University facilities and let’s see what the facilities have to offer.  We will start with The Charles E. Smith Center which most of GW’s 27 intercollegiate varsity sports. The complex was updated in 2008 and the facility is outstanding. Moving onto The GW-Mount Vernon Athletics Facility opened in 2001, The facility has everything it needs, from a synthetic turf surface for soccer and lacrosse which was renovated in summer 2011, a softball diamond which was renovated in summer 2015, a six-lane, 25-yard outdoor pool and 11 hard courts for tennis.

Due to renovations and updated amenities this field is considered to be one of the top collegiate facilities in the region. Upgrades include a state of the art FieldTurf playing surface, spacious grandstand seating, dugouts that are covered, press box, cages, updated restrooms, expanded parking lot and more.

Jenna, a student for GW, will be taking us on a tour of George Washington’s facilities so you can see exactly what they have to offer.
