As an athlete, my favorite way to start they day was with either banana-peanut butter toast, or a – both high protein choices after my morning run and before classes. 

Having the same thing every day can get boring after a while though, so I'm always looking for new tasty, high-protein smoothies. This from LRT's Prost is a new favorite. It's full of fresh vegetables, lots of essential vitamins and nutrients, and of course, protein.

Katie put it best when she said it's: “Pretty epic-tasting and healthy!!”

Ingredients

  • 1 green apple 
  • 1 cup spinach 
  • 1/2 cup frozen pineapple 
  • 1/2 frozen banana 
  • 1/4 cup diced cucumbers 
  • 1 strawberry (activia) yogurt
  • 1 tbsp blueberries 
  • Juice of 1/2 lime 
  • 1.5 cups water 
  • Optional: a handful of almonds for extra protein

Instructions
Toss it all into a blender and enjoy!
